She was born in 1986 in Adana. She is a business administration expert. She works as a project manager in Mersin University. She met ‘’Altınoran Platform of Thought and Art’’ in Adana in 2011. She attended photography, art history and philosophy classes here. Her first photographs were exhibited in February 2016. Ms. Çıngırlar still continues studying for a postgraduate degree in Psychology. She continues a new film project simultaneously.
Her Education, Career and Life
Since she believed in an artist’s versatile thinking, she wanted to have education in different fields. She studied business administration at Çukurova University and she studied for a postgraduate degree in psychology at Çağ University.
Career
She lived in London for four months in 2010. She had foreign language education at Kaplan International Language School. She bought a semi-professional camera there and she started to write poems and short stories for the photographs she took on the streets of London. Sometimes she took photographs for the poems she wrote. Ms. Çıngırlar worked as a company instructor, project consultant and project manager in private corporations between 2007-2015 in the provinces of Adana and Mersin in Turkey.
The director, who completed most of her education on a scholarship or half scholarship, worked on topics of trauma and psychological harrassment for years during this period. She took office in a workshop about these topics in Ankara, Turkey in 2013. An article written by her about the same topics was published in ‘’Fortune’’ magazine. She completed her master’s thesis on Business Administration about these topics.
In 2008, a project for enhancing the social adaptation of children between 13-16 years she pioneered over the company she worked at, in collaboration with Adana Society for the Protection of Children was awarded. The director, who continues her work as a ''Project Manager’’ at Mersin University Foundation of Development, continues writing, photography and cinema activites simultaneously with her office here.
Her first relationship with cinema and art
Her first relationship with cinema and art was with the films Uçurtmayı Vurmasınlar (Don’t Let Them Shoot the Kite) and Piano Piano Bacaksız (Piano Piano Kid) in 1997. This process united with the films of famous Turkish director Yılmaz Güney watched at home. She met Altınoran Platform of Thought and Art in 2011. She attended photography, art history and philosophy workshops here.
Her first photographs were exhibited within a project named ‘’Özgür Atölye’’ (Free Workshop) in 2015. She endeavored for the emotions to be before technique in her photographs. She was invited by Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, one of the most esteemed institutions of the Netherlands and she attended classes and watched various performances here. She has been an active participant of Sinematek Adana cinema group since 2013.
She watched films and participated in film critics and conversations with this group who came together every month. She started to transform her writings into film scripts beginning from this period. She made the short film ‘’Asfur’’ in 2016. She started to shoot the documentary named ‘’Unregistered’’, a documentary about the difficulties experienced by a group of artists from Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, in 2017. It is a documentary which will be a co-production with the Netherlands and it is expected to end in 2018.
